Did I Just Enter An Era Of Hate Through Social Media?

I follow many Youtubers and Bloggers and they mention that they get hate comments online or from their close ones after a certain level of ‘success’ on social media platforms.

I feel that I went through the same in the last week.

I never knew that this will come on so early.

Let me tell you about the 3 experiences that I have had back to back.

Experience 1: “What Are My Aspirations?”

A work colleague in a social setting asked me about my aspirations.

I replied to this with:

‘ I still need to discover myself in terms of what I like/hate and I am continuing to figure out what I want from my life’.

Their response to this was:

‘ I think that you are being selfish when you focus so much on ‘self’. Were you not an influencer?’

Experience 2: “Stay In Your Lane”

An acquaintance on social media replied to me saying that I should do my work when I posted about my non-medical Medium content.
